The Nitro Frankenstein has been the go to rod for the serious Mulloway fisherman for some time now. It has been a rod which has handled the largest of fish off the beaches but also has a soft enough tip section to throw out a pilchard on a set of gangs for tailor and salmon. The rod also has a versatile casting weight range of 28g to 145g, so it can pretty much be used for most applications and is a great rod for distance casting so you can reach the gutters behind the breakers. Being 15 foot in length, it keeps the line clear of the breaking surf and so minimise the effects of side-drag that can pull your rig out of the strike zone.
